Our History

In September of 1953, the Millet Women’s Institute, the Golden Glow Women’s Institute, and the Central Women’s Institute decided to work together to form a community library. Each organization donated money that enabled the purchase of 174 books. In 1981 the Town of Millet passed a bylaw that established the Millet Library as a municipal library.  The Millet Public Library moved to its current location at the Millet Civic Centre in 2021.
